No SuggestionBox page? No problem. Make a suggestion to ANY company. by
With SuggestionBox.com, you can make a suggestion to any company, even if they do not yet have a SuggestionBox page. When you search for a particular company, if there are no matches, a new SuggestionBox is automatically created. If there are results, but none of them are appropriate, you can click the ‘First to Suggest!’ button and create a new one.
Simply enter in the company name, an email address (if you know it), your suggestion and click ‘Preview’. A new SuggestionBox page will be created and your suggestion will be delivered to the company.
In addition, our community of Suggesters can now edit a company’s details that appear on their SuggestionBox page (if they are unclaimed). Simply click on the ‘Edit company info’ link to update the company information. Here’s a list of the items you can update and what impact they will have:
- Website: adds a link to their website
- Contact Email List: email address that should receive any new suggestions
- Address: displays their address and automatically adds a Google Map
- Company Details: displayed on the SuggstionBox page and in search results
- Icon/Logo: displayed on the SuggestionBox page next to the company information
We review all edits to make sure there is no funny business. If you have any suggestions how we can make this process better, you know what to do.

This is at the Denny’s near our office. Well worn, and the lock has been pried out.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe / Warrenton, Virginia by
Attached is a picture I took today for your Suggestion Box Museum.
Location: Tropical Smoothie Cafe / Warrenton, Virginia
It says: “Your Comments Please”
Link to SuggestionBox page: http://tropicalsmoothiecafe.suggestionbox.com/
I go to my local Tropical Smoothie at least twice a week, and applaud that they have their ‘Suggestion Box’ front and center on the counter. But in typical old-school fashion, it’s a prefab card that walks you through ‘what they want to ask you’, as opposed to letting you suggest or say whatever you want. And once it’s dropped in the box … well … who knows what happens then. I’ve dropped one in before, and received no follow up.

Whole Foods La Jolla Suggestion Wall by
The Customer Suggestions wall in Whole Foods La Jolla is located directly to the left of the produce section in the front. As you can see they post all their suggestions with a response on the board. Why hide such a great thing?
Promote Your Customers’ Suggestions with RSS Widgets by
We have been getting a lot of customers asking how they can post and promote their suggestions on their website. Each SuggestionBox has its own unique RSS feed that displays the most recently updated public suggestions. You can view the feed for SuggestionBox here. Here are a few very simple widget platforms that let you integrate your suggestions into your site. They all allow you to customize the look and feel and dynamically update.
SpringWidgets
Use their express widget to create a simple RSS feed widget. It is free to sign up, and you can add a header image and customize the colors.
Grazr
Another free service that allows you to create a reading list with multiple feeds. Use their simple interface to build your custom widget. You have to create an account, but it is free.
YourMinis
Last but not least, is YourMinis. Personally I like this widget the best because it is super simple and you have the most flexibility over the colors and formatting. The service is free and you don’t even need to sign up!
Pick a widget that you think integrates well with your site. When a visitor clicks on one of the suggestions they will be taken to your SuggestionBox page. From there they can comment, vote and submit their own suggestions.
