Trackur, an online reputation monitoring and buzz tracking tool, is giving away a free Acer Aspire One to one lucky Suggester who wants to help make Trackur better.
Here’s how to enter:
Sign up for a free 14 day trial and take Trackur for a test drive (no credit card required).
On October 3rd, Trackur will publish those ideas that demonstrate an honest attempt to help make Trackur even better – that should screen out those that submit suggestions like “Change the color” without backing up their idea with reasons.
If your idea is published, you’ll see it listed as “Under Review” in the Trackur SuggestionBox.
That same day, Trackur will randomly pick a winner from all of the suggestions marked “Under Review.” Make sure your suggestions isn’t made anonymously - they won’t know who you are and be able to send you your new Netbook!
You can read the full contest details and rules on Marketing Pilgrim.

If you didn’t already know, SuggestionBox.com headed up to San Francisco for TechCrunch 50 this week. As the official feedback platform for the event, we have created a special event page that contains the suggestion boxes of all the companies that are presenting, demoing or sponsoring the event (there is also a general TC50 suggestion box). You can watch the presentations on the TechCrunch site or follow us via Twitter. If you are at the event, stop by and say hi to the team.
The most valuable thing a brand new company launching can get is feedback, so let’s lend them a hand. There are still 4 spots left for the race to 100 suggestions. The more feedback you give, the closer you get to winning a $100 Visa gift card. Make 2 suggestions to each of the TechCrunch presenting companies and you will hit 100. Make 1 suggestion to each of the companies in the DemoPit and you hit 100. Mix and match, you decide.
While some are getting closer to the 100 mark, you still have a chance to surpass them all! Here are the latest top Suggesters:
Suggester #340 - CW
Suggester #460 - LRL
Suggester #539 - sb1
Suggester #613 - Nick
Suggester #1374 - John L.
Last month we announced that the first 5 Suggesters to reach 100 suggestions would win a $100 Visa gift card. The first Suggester to reach 100 suggestions was OpenInnovator, Suggester #512. The race is still on for the remaining 4 spots! We realize 100 suggestions is a tall order, but we know you have great ideas and that you just need a little nudge to get started. So here you go. Nudge, nudge.
Here are a few tips to help you get to 100 suggestions faster:
When you come up with a great idea, chances are more than one company can benefit from it. Submit your suggestion to the intended company AND their competitors.
Think about the companies you interact with on a daily basis: your favorite websites, lunch spots, supermarkets, gyms, movie theaters, online stores, doctor’s office, dentist, hotel/spa, bar/club, video games, etc.
Support others’ suggestions. Read the suggestions from your fellow Suggesters. Get inspired. Make suggestions that complement their ideas.
With SuggestionBox.com, you can make a suggestion to any company, even if they do not yet have a SuggestionBox page. When you search for a particular company, if there are no matches, a new SuggestionBox is automatically created. If there are results, but none of them are appropriate, you can click the ‘First to Suggest!’ button and create a new one.
Simply enter in the company name, an email address (if you know it), your suggestion and click ‘Preview’. A new SuggestionBox page will be created and your suggestion will be delivered to the company.
In addition, our community of Suggesters can now edit a company’s details that appear on their SuggestionBox page (if they are unclaimed). Simply click on the ‘Edit company info’ link to update the company information. Here’s a list of the items you can update and what impact they will have:
Website: adds a link to their website
Contact Email List: email address that should receive any new suggestions
Address: displays their address and automatically adds a Google Map
Company Details: displayed on the SuggstionBox page and in search results
Icon/Logo: displayed on the SuggestionBox page next to the company information
We review all edits to make sure there is no funny business. If you have any suggestions how we can make this process better, you know what to do.
Here at SuggestionBox.com the core of our uniform starts with the t-shirt. While our design team has slightly different taste than the developers, you can always expect to see something cool. With that said, we needed our own set of distinct t-shirts. Let us know which are your favorites and check back often as we will be adding some more designs.

We are happy to announce that we have rolled out an update to SuggestionBox.com that includes easier ways to make suggestions, keep track of your stats and get credit for inviting your friends & family.
Make A Suggestion On The Fly! You can now submit a suggestion without creating an account. If you provide your email address, we will notify you when the company responds to your suggestion. Any suggestions you make with your email address can later be claimed when you create an account using that same email, and all of your suggestions will then be accessible via your Suggestions Dashboard.
Creating an account allows you to vote, follow your favorite suggestions, comment, and read private messages. In addition, all your suggestions are centrally located and searchable in your Suggestions dashboard. Think of it as your Suggestion Headquarters.
Suggestions Dashboard Improvements
On your Suggestions dashboard, you will now find the total number of friends who you have invited and signed up. In addition, we have fixed a small issue with the suggestion counts that are displayed on your dashboard and throughout the site. The total number of suggestions in each category are now consistent and accurate.
Stay tuned as we continue to roll out new features. Let us know what you want the most by submitting your ideas.

It’s late on a Friday night and the office is quiet.
I wanted to create a connection between my own usage of SuggestionBox and how I thought it related to the other Suggesters in our community and on top of that what outcomes you might expect by engrossing yourself in your own community.
This morning I was sitting in on a call hosted by Learn From My Life featuring Lois Kelly, author, entrepreneur and marketing expert. During the call I noted some things she said about attracting and keeping great customers then developing relationships and trust. She said, “If you can provide a great customer experience you are sure to be on your way to achieving the latter two points.” Specifically in the area of “trust”, it’s important to understand an organization’s beliefs and values. This led me to think that if I could be a maverick for our own organization here at SuggestionBox and be the power Suggester, then I could wear my heart on my sleeve around others in the community. So I’m up to 90 suggestions! What’s also important is that I feel it’s important to reach out to others who would benefit by setting up a SuggestionBox page. Here are the ways to show your love and benefits that I feel any organization, SMB, Enterprise, Nonprofit, group, association or club could derive from building a community of raving fans:
Infuse some trust and authenticity into the relationships you have with current and potential customers
Empower your customers by doing things with them
Generate Word of Mouth Marketing via the people around you that care
Avoid missed opportunities like connecting with someone who may not have had the best experience or has a question
Understand your customers and save time, money and the anxiety
Improve the overall customer experience, starting with a simplified feedback channel
So we covered my usage, what a community can do for you on SuggestionBox and let’s look at the Suggesters. We’re working on a series of content that will help explain what a Suggester is. And we’re going to own this personality as an organization. As a Suggester, we are going to try to change the perception that when you submit feedback that you won’t receive a response. We often hear this is biggest hurdle for why people don’t often give feedback. We are challenging ourselves with taking this head on and doing everything we can to ensure our Suggesters are taken care of and are given the tools to succeed in their efforts to suggest and have their voices heard.
So over the next couple weeks, you’ll see some new tools launching and new ways that you can keep track of your progress against everybody else in the Suggester community. Of course, I challenge anyone to out-suggest me and any company to avoid missing an opportunity to connect with the people that care about them.
Like any relationship it starts with listening. So show some love, you just might get the same in return.
